Where Laptops Should not be Taken
I’ve seen people driving and talking on their cell phone. I’ve seen people driving and typing on their blackberry. I’ve heard people in the restroom talking on their cell phone. I’ve seen guys typing on their blackberry in the restroom. But today I saw a guy standing in the rest room taking a piss and typing on his laptop with one hand while holding it with the other.
I can’t believe there is anything in the world so important that one needs to type on their laptop while taking a piss at a urinal.
Montana and Virginia
So once again we have an election and no final result… You’d think one of the most advanced countries in the world we could decide who won quickly. Part of me hopes that there will be calls for recounts using the electronic systems and that people will not be happy that they can’t really perform a recount on the paperless touch screens. Then maybe someone will finally do something about it and force the issue. If not then we may need the UN and the Carter Center to monitor the US elections like they monitor elections in places like Haiti and the Congo. At least the US does not have violent protests when people don’t agree with the outcome. Some would say that’s because Americans are mature voters, I think it’s just as likely that most Americans are apathetic voters.
